How do I get sole custody of my son if the mother is using drugs and alcohol?

I am a 24 year old father. My son is 1 year old and I have had physical custody of him for the past 4 months. I have a stable home with my parents and my son is in a safe place compared with ex wife's life style of drugs and partying. My child's mother has been seen consuming alcohol and using drugs on the weekends for the past few months. Also, the few occasions that she entered my home, claiming to want to visit her son, she only yells and acts violent towards me. She is not a fit mother and I would like sole custody of him. Also, she has already lost custody of her other two children to their grandparents. I have legal DNA test results determining my paternity; I am the biological father of our son. What other steps can I take towards building up a good custody court case?
