Will a prenuptial agreement speed up the divorce case?

I signed a prenuptial agreement before I was married. Now we are getting a divorce and I heard that this agreement could speed up the process. Is this true?

It may, depending on whether it addresses all the issues of the divorce.

A Prenuptial agreement can greatly expedite your divorce proceeding, because if it was done correctly, it will already cover all matters that are usually contested in divorce proceedings such as: bank accounts, property, children, etc. In matters where the divorce is uncontested, and there has been a prenuptial agreement, it is possible to have the divorce granted within a month after all the final documents have been filed. Make sure you attach a copy of the prenuptial agreement to your divorce papers so that the judge can see that all these matters have already been settled without judicial intervention.

It will not speed up the process, but it may resolve some of the issues.
